Sac Vichy

2019 | Painting Installation
oil on silk and PE, two frames | 130 x 200 x 90 cm

Based on old, rural textile patterns from the 30s, 40s and 50s, Sac Vichy is a double-painting on silk, which folds like a book. The transparency and the changeable placement of the first layer involve the light and shadows to impact the patterns. Through the transparency and the implications of light and shadow on the moving frame, Suzan Noesen plays here on the layering of patterns – material and immaterial.
